Visioning Education - Visioning Partnership

Educational leaders know that when they envision learning environments infused with new and innovative practices and technology, that they should seek support from the community. Parents and businesses are often very happy to join you in making a difference for children when they know about educational initiatives. Their generosity and partnership empowers educators and benefits children.[gallery]

Netbooks for School Nurses

Our Superintendent for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia schools, Mary Rochford, envisioned a way to support the health of our students through technology. Once this was shared with Verizon, a proponent of technology in education, they were happy to support it.  As a result, 35 Philadelphia school nurses will now have netbooks to use in their work.  They will use Health E-tools software and netbooks to support student health. At the Netbooks for School Nurses award presentation, Verizon Pennsylvania president, Gale Givens shared Verizon's support of education, health and technology. “We’re investing in programs that touch people’s lives by focusing on health and family safety in the 21st century.” Thumbs Up, Verizon!
